I bought this to hold my clay sculpting tools. It works beautifully and the stand is very thick (I went with this listing in particular because I saw that some listings used thinner plastic). The grooves are at an angle that keeps the tools in place. I’d recommend this stand, it makes my desk look more intentionally organized.

I ordered this pen holder to use as a place to rest my very expensive watercolor paintbrushes. And it works perfectly. I can sit it upright or lay it on its back, which is what I do while I am painting. When on my desk I have it sitting taller so that it doesn’t take up as much space and display some of my natural brushes there. Feels sturdy, easy assembly and arrived quickly. I like the holder and it is what it was stated to be. I bought this for pens on my desk at my workplace (teacher’s desk). I don’t think it is meant for a plush office or library but it is sturdy and functional and certainly holds the number of items it says it will.
